Mystery Writers of America - Membership open to published mystery writers, editors, screenwriters, and other professionals in the field.
- A bit expensive at $80 per year, but offers good legal and tax information, sponsors conferences, and presents the Edgar award.
Sisters In Crime - “An international organization of writers, readers, booksellers, librarians, agents, editors, reviewers and teachers interested in promoting the work of women mystery writers.” (Men are welcome to join as well.)
- Membership is $35 per year. SinC has local chapters across the country and an Internet chapter. (Last time I checked the Internet chapter cost $10 per year.)
